Charcoal Drawings of Akiyamago Representing Each Person’s Perception of Nature
“The term ‘Kyochu Sansui’ refers to the Chinese landscape painting style. While everyone perceives nature differently, I strive to depict the nature that ebbs and flows within each person’s heart,” states the artist. Using trees sourced from Akiyamago as drawing materials, the artist, known for transforming sculptures into charcoal carvings, explores a novel approach to capturing the diverse activities of the mountains of Akiyamago that envelop this region. Visitors are invited to create their own drawings using the charcoal, offering them an immersive exhibition experience where they can connect with the perception of “nature” within their own hearts.
