About the artwork
Soil turns into pottery through chemical reaction when it passes a certain temprature. The artist puts soils in tile form taken from Tokoname-city, Aichi prefecture where he is from and Toakamchi-city, Niigata prefecture where the festival is held into fire at differet tempratures from 600℃ to 1200℃ and presents overview of how soil transforms into pottery.
