About the artwork

Contemplating Possible Future Beliefs and Care Practices
Based on a fictional story that unfolds around a “House of Faith,” where a peculiar person who learns ritual methods such as exorcism and memorial services from the mountains resides and where “Kamagami-sama” apparently holds tea parties. The artist connects the daily routines and religious activities surrounding death and illness in Akiyamago with tea parties in the village. By metaphorically narrating tea parties as new rituals to maintain connections, the artist considers the beliefs of the area as a possible form of care that may exist in the future.
