Exploring the young cedar tree within the revered shrine
Utilising natural materials sourced from the local surroundings, capable of conveying diverse “signs” to those present, this artwork seeks to establish spaces where visitors can sense and listen to the distinct “intervals” resonating in their environment. Against the backdrop of the global COVID-19 pandemic, this initiative positions the growth of a young cedar tree within the grounds of the Takataru Shrine as a focal point of artistic expression, emphasizing occurrences unique to that particular site, where creative possibilities unfold.
