These sculptures of fire-charred wood arranged on the slope of a tanada hill resemble a community or a group of people. The artist has created a new world at a place where once houses stood; the site is also remembered by the people as a place full of trees. The stark black sculptures stand there quietly,a testimony to the life and death of the people and their history.
