About the artwork

Transforming Joyama into an Area of Serenity
Two architects, Huang Sheng-Yuan and Taguma, propose a new spatial design for the Joyama area. Based on the concept that inviting visitors to rest in void spaces in nature would enhance the joy of exploring artworks, the long-term aspiration of the new design is to create a space where time flows gently. In 2024, as the first action, the “the Bench embraced by the earth” was realized.
From there, visitors can enjoy the overview of Matsudai NOHBUTAI and the Hokuhoku Line.
