This project seeks to revitalize the twelve shrines of Takakura Jinja, which were once the village’s sacred ground, as matsuri (festival). Pictures drawn by people living along the road to the shrines in their younger days are lined up. The shrine grounds are lit up by silver-flashing shrines and red lanterns. Ema (wooden prayer plaques) and omikuji (fortune slips) stalls stand on the grounds. Furthermore, matsuri decorations are hung from the roofs of village houses, creating the festival spectacle.
