This artist who pursues the themes of life, origin, existence, and femininity presents this piece which has taken six years to complete. Drawing inspiration from “utagaki”, an ancient Japanese custom of courtship between a young man and woman seeking love, a teahouse is created out of a deep black ceiling made of crow feathers, lacquer, lead, gold leaves, pieces of wood, and old newspapers. This artwork presented in Matsunoyama for ETAT2015 will be transferred to a greenhouse located on the grounds of the Belnatio resort.
