About the artwork
The Kamigo Junior High School which closed in 2012 reopens as a residency, workshop space, and theatre for the performing arts. Artists are invited to live in the satoyama landscape where nature and human being have coexisted for generations, a very different environment from urban city life, and create their work through cooperation and collaboration with local residents.
A restaurant run by local women providing a theatrical dining experience also welcomes visitors from all over the world.
