The artist sieved wheat flour along with “dust” collected from a number of vacant houses and private houses. The dust in the living room and wheat flour in the kitchen, forming a series of mountains, were displayed in a private house in the Futago community. The dust, which had been left untouched under or on the roofs, reminded one of the quiescence of time. When the artist stated that he “wanted to collect the dust” in the houses, people in the community naturally showed their bewilderment. The artist said that he was made aware of the fact that even a vacuum cleaner bag could be a fine testimony of the real life there.
