About the artwork

Inspired by characters such as “Ariel” (an air spirit capable of conjuring storms and illusions) from Shakespeare’s play *The Tempest*, this work features two suspended puppets made of parachute fabric that move via mechanical mechanisms, while a drum section on the base plays a rhythm. As air actuators pump air to create capricious gusts, unexpected scenes unfold before your eyes.
