The artist sees art as an effective communication tool to connect different generations and communities. Hence, the “little snake caf?,” a place for communication, became the exhibition site. A picture book was made, featuring a little snake, an idea taken from the nickname, “Kohebi Squad” (Little Snake Squad) adopted for the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial volunteers, and it was shown around local daycare centers, with children asked to make art works based on their impressions of the book. The results were exhibited at the “little snake caf?.” At the end of the Triennial, an event/workshop was held together with the children. At the caf?, “little snake ice cream” was also sold.
