Born in 1983 in Hyogo Prefecture, graduated from the Tama Art University’s Department of Art and Design in 2007. The artist creates three-dimensional works capturing the aesthetic and nature of living creatures using only recycled cardboard. The artist actively engages in domestic and international exhibitions, window displays, TV media, and workshops and widely promotes her unique technique, leveraging the strength and flexibility of cardboard, in art education. Main exhibitions include “Tamada Taki – Cardboard Stories” (The Hiratsuka Museum of Art, 2023) and “Tamada Taki – Breathing Carboard” (Kanz Forest of Creation, 2022), “Bless You” (ARTS&CRAFTS STUDIO Hong Kong, 2019), “Junk Art” (Hamada Children’s Museum of Art, 2018), “Tamada Taki and Children of Okazaki – Sea Dragon in the Cardboard Ocean” (Okazaki World Children’s Museum and Gallery, 2016). The artist received YOKOHAMA Creative Area Award, Setagaya Art Award, Tokyo Wonder Wall.
