Sue Pedley
Born in Tasmania in 1954, and currently livingin Sydney, Australia. Sue Pedley researches the materiality and history of a particular place, community, culture, through site-specific installations and interdisciplinary practice. She explores ways to experiment with different materials and their connection to place, reformulating basic elements of time/light and space. Exhibitions in Japan include the Setouchi International Trienale 2010 (Harmonica) and the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2006 (Haze).”

 

Kazuya Iwaki
Born in Kagoshima, and currently living in Tokyo. Kazuya Iwaki is an architect and a professor of Tokyo Denki University. He and his students keep close relations with Aramachishinden community more than 10 years. Main subject of his works is space. He explains space as a cup of soup. Space is composed of various elements (floor, wall, roof, window, furniture, material, color, texture, natural light, wind, smell, tree, plant, land, view, memory, history, culture, and people) and the tastes
provided from them are integrated into space. Like soup cooking, he is challenging to create tasty space.
