Born in Kyoto in 1968. Completed graduate studies at Shiga University in 1994. After participating in several residency programs in Germany, India, Taiwan, and other places, the artist opened the KUNST ARZT gallery in Kyoto in 2012. Actively engages in curatorial exhibitions such as “ART with Emperor” (2020) and “Disney Bijutsu (art)” (2015). With a focus on colloquial imagery and wordplay, such as in words like “Battamon (knockoff),” “Dozaemon (drowned body),” and “Torarope (black and yellow rope),” addressing issues related to humour and the freedom of expression.
