Born in Hiroshima. Play writer and producer. OCHI creates workshop and artwork in the form of performance as she closely engages with respective places and people. The process of creating an artwork is distinctive as Ochi picks up words, maneovours and play by actors in practice sessions during residency and weaves these to be reflected upon the final piece of works which results in an original and special specific to the particular place and people. Ochi spent three months with local people in Naoshima and created an artwork for Setouchi Triennale 2019 which moved many audience.During the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2022, the artist stayed for two months in the region. Incorporating elements of Kabuki, the artist created works with the motif of snow and footprints, collaborating with the local people.
