The artist has a family tradition of giving nicknames to cars, and this inspired him to create artworks that combine vehicles and animals through woodcarving. When riding in a vehicle, he feels his bodily sensations expanding, gradually transitioning into a quadrupedal gait. He explores the expressiveness derived from factors like the position of lights and how characteristics and life can be infused into objects, whether they possess them inherently or not. With a deep connection to human life, particularly focusing on affectionately cherished cars and bicycles, he experimentally produces wood carvings and installations. His work is presented at the Izumi Museum of Art, Hiroshima.
