A papercut artist. Born in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, in 1982. The artist was inspired by paper-cutting activities with his mother when he was a child and started creating papercuts. Based at the foot of Mt. Ibuki in Shiga Prefecture, the artist vividly portrays the daily encounters with nature and wildlife. Exploring beyond precision papercut artworks, the artist ventures into extensive installations and illuminations, seeking the potential for new papercut art expressions.
