Studied ceramics at a university in Kyoto, the artist is currently based in Osaka, showcasing works mainly in the Kansai region. The consistent theme is “expressing the joy of brilliance, richness, and overflowing vitality.” Using the texture and coloration of pottery, the artist creates large-scale works that reference various living things, phenomena, patterns, etc., designed for outdoor exhibitions, as well as smaller pieces such as ornaments and vessels suitable for everyday use. The artist participated as a guest artist in residences in Denmark and Shigaraki, and presented at exhibitions including Taro Okamoto Award for Contemporary Art Exhibition, Rokko Meets Art, Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale, and Kyoto Art for Tomorrow.
